Did I pick the wrong language?

I started Mandarin after watching several videos of 李子柒 and the language was fine, I like learning languages. However, I want to have a practical use for them: reading, watching films, listening to music, watching TV shows, but in Chinese, I didn't like most of the things I have found or was recommended. I'm conflicted if I should keep my studies, I don't plan to move to China, I don't have relatives or a SO from there, I don't like the bits of culture previously mentioned, should I drop my studies?
