Is being an ESL teacher that bad?

So this morning I posted a picture of myself getting third place in a Chinese competition and expressed wanting to be an english language teacher in China. Everyone in the comments told me not to do it. Why? I want to double major as an English teacher and be a lawyer and be an English teacher while attending law school. Why is being an English teacher in China so bad besides low pay (I don’t care about money)
