Hi!
I wanted to ask the internet help on finding a Chinese name that sounds similar to my name in English. I took Mandarin as a college student, and had my boyfriend at the time name me. He chose surname: 卫, given name: 心 which sounds like the word satellite (卫星), and doesn't sound like my name at all (and is thus harder to respond to in a crowd.
I'm going to a wedding in Taipei next month, and was hoping I could give a new and improved Chinese name to my friend's family. My English name is Camille. I was wondering if there's any way to make something like Cami (ke-mi, kai-ming), that sounds like a name, and doesn't easily get transformed into something weird upon mispronunciation.
