At what point did you start to understand Chinese media?

大家好! I’ve been studying Chinese as a hobby for a short while now. I know, and can comfortably use, the vocab in HSK1 and have a solid grasp on HSK2. I don’t expect to understand media at this point, but am curious about others experiences.

At what point in your learning of Chinese did you start to understand Chinese media?

Do you think your understanding of media can be tied to a HSK level, or more to do with time spend absorbing content as best possible?

I do have to say, it is exciting when you understand a short sentence in a real world context like a news article.

谢谢,再见。
