I just started HSK 5 and notice that the passages in the book don't have a following pinyin passage as they had in the previous books. I found the pinyin sections very helpful because if I didn't recognize a character or forgot the character's tone, then I could just flip the page and check. Anyone have any tips? Obviously it's best to completely remember each character but that doesn't always happen.
