When a Hong Kong movie comes out that's filmed in Cantonese, there's usually a Mandarin dub of excellent quality made at the same time.
And then, for some reason, some stupid Mainland assholes come along later and make another Mandarin dub that sounds fake and cheap, and then when you search online that's the only version you can find.

Why oh why do they feel the need to do this? My working hypothesis is that they secretly view anything done subtly with suspicion, and would rather make everything vulgar for vulgarity's sake.
