Hi all,
I make a crap ton of Anki cards while reading articles/Weibo/whatever. They all follow a straightforward format.
The front side looks like this:
草丛
The back side looks like this:
cǎo cóng
tall/thick grass
太危险了!有野生的宝可梦生活在草丛里!
(the 上声 might not render correctly in the pinyin, but that's not the point here.)
The most awkward/time-consuming portion of this is getting the Pinyin. I use Windows 10 with English (US) keyboard and Microsoft Pinyin for Chinese. My current workflow is going to pin1yin1, inputting the characters, and copying the output/pasting it into Anki.
There's gotta be a better way to do it. Is there a particular input method I should be using? Is there a macro that will grab the Pinyin for me and put it into the clipboard?
Just wondering if any of you have had/solved this workflow problem, or if there's something simple I'm missing.
