Possibly the stupidest idea for a chinese tattoo

Now, bear with me for a sec.

I've been studying chinese for a few years now, I've grown in an Italian town that is home to one of the largest chinese communities in Europe and I think It's safe to say I should pay omage to my interest for China with a tattoo.

I've always wanted something in chinese tattooed on my skin, but I could not find a character - or a set of - that is meaningful enough for me for it to be permanently inked on my skin. The first character I've ever learned? The one that is the most beautiful looking in my opinion? It has to be something in chinese, that's for sure. Something in chinese, but what?

Well what about THE WORD FOR SOMETHING in chinese? Like, literally something written in chinese?

Isn't it as stupid as it is hilarious?

This way whenever people ask me "What does that mean?" I can reply "Oh, something in chinese", to which they might answer "Sure but what is the actual meaning?" sparkling a dumb yet light hearted exchange of words about how questionable my ife choices have been so far.

What do you all think?

What is the most appropriate chinese character to convey this meaning? I was thinking about 某事 but there might be an even more fitting one, right?

How would a native speaking react to a tattoo like this one?
