A friend from China told me that everyone he knows uses 搜狗's pinyin input method; nobody uses Microsoft or Google, and that sogou is vastly superior.
I read the wikipedia article, and it kind of conerns me. The reason it is so good is that it uses machine learning to identify common spelling errors, and that everything you type is sent to and analyzed by sogou's servers.
Of course, this makes me worry that everything I type, whether it is Chinese or English, goes directly to the government and is permanently stored, waiting to be used against me one day.
By the way, why isn't it called "sougou" instead of "sogou" ?
