Throwaway account because I'm an embarrassment to everyone here! Lol.
Anyways, I've been meaning to ask out this girl I'm close to, we've been flirty for some time and I'd like to put a label on things if she's comfortable with it. She speaks Chinese as a first language, and I've been learning it for over 4-5 years. We tend to go back and forth between Chinese and English in conversation, but it's safe to say I have much to learn about speaking Chinese, especially when it comes to things like romance and romantic sayings. School just doesn't teach you that beyond the words for "boyfriend" and "girlfriend", unfortunately.
I'd like to ask her out in Chinese since she really prefers talking in Chinese than English, but I have no idea how and I don't want to mess it up or say something that I don't mean!
(In addition, if anyone has any cool tidbits they know about romantic Chinese sayings/slang/etc I'd love to know! I don't plan on doing anything else other than asking her out, but I am really curious about romantic Chinese since it isn't taught in school. Knowledge is power haha)
Thanks in advance!
