I'm particularly interested in the studies abroad opportunities as outlined on the Confucius Institute Headquarters website
I understand in speaking with an alumni of the program, who has also worked for the Confucius Institute, that having a relationship with a potential recommending Institution is an important part of the process. I am sure one of the best ways to make such a connection would be to be enrolled in Conf Ins. courses at a partnered university, however, I am also confident that with any bit of exchange and reference from my tutor I could prove myself worthy for consideration for the program.
Do any of you fellow Redditors happen to work in such a referring position for an org that does scholarships? Have you ever recommended a student for scholarship who wasn't a currently enrolled student? Would you consider doing so in certain situations which merited it?
