How do you type traditional characters using pinyin?

I'm still towards the beginning, but based on a survey of my steam library's available languages (most games either have both simplified and traditional or just traditional) and the fact I'll be visiting Taiwan more than mainland China I figured I'd focus on traditional characters. That said... I know how to type using Microsoft Pinyin, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to output traditional.

I'm on Windows 10, I've installed the Traditional (Taiwan) character set, I've got the input method as Microsoft Bopomofo and under options I've changed the keyboard layout to be HanYu Pinyin. Thing is, when I start typing I can figure out how to get the most common character, but not it's alternatives. Ex: I can get 是, but I don't know how to get 十. In the simplified Chinese pinyin input a little menu pops up and you hit a number corresponding to which variant you want, but you don't get that with the Bopomofo keyboard with HanYu Pinyin layout.

Thanks for the help.
