anyone found solutions to Microsoft Word Chinese phonetic guide issues?

with traditional characters, I set the language as Chinese (China) but it keeps resetting to Taiwan, so when I go to do the phonetic guide to add pinyin above it will always try to make it zhuyinfuhao and I have to manually change it; phonetic guide pinyin is wrong like 15% of the time; can't annotate more than about 20 characters at a time; can't change default phonetic guide options; can't add guide for multiple characters that aren't next to each other. But then if I use one of the pinyin annotators that come up on google it's impossible to copy the text. I know this is a boring question but honestly it would be great to know if there are any fixes for the Chinese aspects of Word that are busted.
