What are the most important, useful and funny phrases to know as an exchange student?

I will be going to Beijing through a 6 week student exchange programme, and wanted to research a few Chinese phrases that are most useful as a university student.

I have the most important basics for general conversation, such as hello, how are you, etc., that were easy to research, but wanted to ask whether you have some other phrases that are particularly helpful for social/party settings and maybe other simple phrases that are just amusing for both us foreigners and the locals?
