Hello. I am a beginner in learning mandarin. It seems obvious that tonals are the most difficult part in mastering the mandarin language. This is a question for experienced mandarin speakers. What tips would you give to those starting out learning mandarin for mastering tonal techniques? I'm a native (American) English speaker. I'm mostly interested in personal technique. What do you do, or what did you do personally to help yourself learn to pronounce and understand the tonals in the mandarin language?
