I'm starting out learning Chinese as an ABC. I'm doing the HSK course of study so I can have some clear and measurable goals to work towards. Out of curiosity, does anyone have a sense of what HSK level 1, 2, 3, etc correspond to. For example is HSK Level 1 about the same as a kindergartner in China and maybe HSK level 2 is a 1st grader? Would level 3 be a 3rd grader? Much appreciated.
