In know that when singing in Mandarin, I don't need to observe tones and can just sing the melody or whatever part I have. But are there any other differences between singing in Mandarin and singing in English? Are there any tonal qualities that I should observe, differences in vowel or consonant production, etc. Also, are any other characters pronounced differently when singing than 的/得/地? This is about music from a classically trained standpoint, not pop music.
