画 2 variations of this character, is there any difference in meaning?

画 this character pastes differently in different places so I'll just try to describe the second version. The difference is a tiny vertical line connecting the vertical line that divides the square to the top horizontal line. Certain translation sites recognize this second version as Japanese and the one posted here (without the extra line) as Chinese. Yet the Chinese translations seem to use both interchangeably. Is there any difference??
