Using English vs Korean resources to learn Mandarin?

English is my first language, I'm also fluent in Korean. I want to learn Mandarin and am wondering how to approach it. I could use resources provided in Korean or provided in English. I'd have a much easier time finding stuff in English of course (since I'm in the USA).

But one advantage I can imagine if I use Korean is Koreans use a lot of Chinese characters. For when you learn a Chinese character in Korean for say "door", the character itself is called "door" or "moon" in Korean, and the pronunciation can be similar to the corresponding Chinese. I'm sure if there are people here who know Korean they will know what I'm talking about.

OTOH, I heard the grammatical structure of Chinese is more akin to English? So maybe learning it via English resources is better?

Any advice would be appreciated.
