I need some advice on what my next steps should be to becoming more fluent and proficient in Chinese. I'm an ABC, and my mom is from Taiwan, and she speaks a decent amount of Chinese around the house, so I can understand probably 60% of spoken Chinese. However, my reading, writing, and speaking is pretty bad and I would like to get better at it. I took about 9 years of Chinese school, so I have a lot of material that I can study from, but I don't know where to start.
Another problem is that it's hard to find a lot of resources in Traditional Chinese (which is what I'm more comfortable with), so I was wondering if I should start to learn Simplified for the time being.
