When you get the hang of writing Chinese characters and character structures, learning new characters should be a piece of cake. There are 3000 characters used in normal life. Remember learning characters need to go after learning to talk, ie learning to talk is more important
You can memorize characters better by remembering strokes orders and structure rather than remembering them as an image
