Yesterday I tried to have a conversation and miserably failed, so now I'm back to the "I'll never learn Chinese" phase. I'm supposed to be learning HSK 6 vocab and my reading is getting there but I can't say a single sentence. I'm just an anki monkey that eats vocab but tones and pronunciation are way off. I think i'm gonna take italki lessons during the summer, however I can't help but think it'll be wasted money.
What are your techniques to stay motivated while getting over the hump ?
