Like the title says I'm currently studying abroad in China for the summer and want to take full advantage of all the opportunities here for learning Chinese. (For reference Ive studied for two years thus far but I kind of slacked off for the past year because of other classes/work)
Ive made friends with the people in my program, but we're all English speakers and pretty much only speak English with each other.
I have Chinese class 20 hours a week, two language partners (someone learning English), and a tutor. And that's all awesome although I have been speaking mostly English with my language partners because they speak Chinese so quickly and our conversations only last in English.
So does anyone either from Beijing or that has studied in Beijing have any advice on how else I can improve my Chinese? Like where good places are to practice or how I should be talking with my language partners. It's only been a little while so far, but I feel like I haven't gotten much better and I'm afraid the trip won't have been as worth as much as I originally thought it would be.
