Pronunciation of 焙 in Taiwan?

When I bought a coffee here in Taipei earlier today I had the choice of light or dark roast, 淺焙 or 深焙. My dictionary gives the pronunciation of this character as bèi, but I'm pretty sure the barista said péi. Is this a mainland/Taiwan difference?
