Is taking HSK 4 reasonable?

For context I have never taked the HSK previously. However, I have studied Chinese in school for 3 years, and I am going to be in AP Chinese next year. We recently finished the textbook Chinese Link Level 2 Part 1. I am willing to do any additional work to prep for the HSK.

Is this possible or should I aim for a lower HSK level? Also, what should I do to prep for this exam? Thanks for your time.
