I've searched on the ol' Google machine but I can't find much definitive about what I wish to ask. Right now, my writing practice consists of the following using Anki:
- Look at the simplified characters and write their traditional equivalents (I study traditional characters).
- Write words (bisyllabic or otherwise) twice.
- Write individual characters five times.
- View characters and write out the bopomofo without seeing it.
- View sentences and practise memorising and writing them.
I get the feeling that I'm wasting a lot of time. Is it really helpful for me to write the traditional characters against simplified variants? Does writing sentences actually give me enough help to justify the time it takes me to do so? Should I remove the memorising component? Right now, when I memorise, the sentence I saw is hidden and I test my ability to both remember the words and write them out.
