Recommendations for graded reader books

I am looking for intermediate or upper-intermediate level graded reader books. I like the look of these, except for the fact that they have pinyin above the characters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/7513807302/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_m6LWCbAX15G59

I have heard of a couple other series, including one edited by John Pasden, but both of those seem geared towards more elementary learners.

Has anyone encountered a graded reader aimed at HSK5ish level reader, without pinyin above the characters (maybe just pinyin/definition separately for new characters, or pinyin-only in a separate section)?

I hope this makes sense, and thanks for any recommendations!

Edit: I should point out I am looking for simplified Chinese.
