Which Chinese accent is this?
What is the sound [Ą]? I consulted the book Handbook of the International Phonetic Association (1999). The same one in the next link.
I could not find what capital [Ą] means. What does the capital variation mean in the International Phonetic Alphabet? I could not find [A] but could find [a] on the vowel chart of the International Phonetic Alphabet.
I found on Wikipedia that the diacritic means that it is nasalized, but I could not find that in the book Handbook of the International Phonetic Association (1999)? I could find ~ but not ˛. Why is ˛ not found in the book Handbook of International Phonetic Association (1999)?
