Need help with unknown characters MDBG does not know.

Hello. I keep coming across characters on MDBG that have no definition. I have the KEY dictionary on Pleco also and these words don't show up at all. What's funny is that my wife is ABC and she is somewhat literate and when I show her the characters she knows how to say them, but has no idea what they mean.

枔 xún 杬 yuán 枆 máo

These are just a few examples of the words. It shows a pinyin pronunciation, but just no definition. Why is that? Are they just more obscure words? If so, what dictionary would I find them in? Thanks for any insight.
