A language mistake that still actually haunts me to this day...

I went with my wife to the doctor a while ago, and when they had finished up I thought I would try to say something in Chinese to him as we left. I decided on “thank you, doctor” in Mandarin, which is “谢谢,大夫” but for some reason instead I said “谢谢,丈夫”, which means “thank you, husband”.

大夫 = dàifu 丈夫 = zhàngfu
