I just saw this movie last night and I thought I'd recommend it to people. It's about an old artist who adopts a grandson to pass down his mask changing(变脸) art, but his grandson isn't quite who he had in mind. The movie is pretty well shot and both the leads are played incredibly well. Also, it's a fairly easy movie to understand and I think someone at HSK3 could understand 70-80% of the movie. The artist sometimes quotes classical texts/plays which are hard to understand, but not understanding it doesn't take away from how great the movie is.
The movie can be found on 腾讯视频 with only Chinese subtitles, or on youtube with just English subtitles and reduced quality. You could watch the one on 腾讯视频 and if you run into any problems, check the meaning on the other one.
