I'm going to China with my friend who is from China in three months, what should I focus on learning in that time? I'm completely new to the language.

I haven't started anything yet, but apparently I'm going to China for three weeks in three months. It's not a lot of time, but I want to at least start. What resourses should I use and what should I focus on learning?
