How to refer to lunar months in English

My Chinese mother uses the English terms for months when referring to lunar months. So the first lunar month is “January”, the second lunar month is “February”, etc. This causes great confusion when she gives a lunar date in English. I’ve tried to persuade her to say “Second Month” or “month two” or something, if she’s going to use English terms, but she refuses, because I guess in her mind, 二月translates to February, literally, no matter which calendar we are using. Not sure what she’d call the thirteenth month.

This started me wondering, is there a way to refer to lunar months in English?
