Instances when a word combination has its literal meaning

Hi, I'm looking for some examples in which a word combination (like 吃饭,说话,吸烟,念书 etc) have their literal meaning rather than their usual one. For example, a sentence in which 吸烟 doesn't mean "to smoke" as it usually does but "to inhale smoke" (the literal meaning).

Thanks in advance
