Ideally, I would like to be able to read and write Mandarin, however; I would much rather learn how to speak.
Would those of you who are fluent (or very good at) Mandarin recommend doing all at once (reading, writing, speaking) or first just concentrating on speaking and getting pronunciation and grammar right, and then later learning the characters.
I feel like it would be easier to progress just concentrating on speaking and then learning the characters later you have the pronunciation mastered to pair the character with. Or is it better to just try and do everything at once?
Thanks guys. Also recommendations for learning anything discussed woult be great.
Thanks again.
