Let’s get right to the point today. I think there are 3 main reasons limiting Chinese beginners/learners from zero to proficient:
1. The mispronunciation of Pinyin system.
Pinyin uses letters that English speakers are both familiar with yet foreign to. In some cases, your first instinct will be to mispronounce a letter, because the pronunciation of English letters has been deeply ingrained into native English speakers’brains.
2. The language environment limitation
The essence of language learning lies in the building-up of the language environment to improve the acquisition efficiency. For most Chinese beginners/learners, lacking the environment restricts the development of their Chinese level.
3. The resistance to the pictograms(Chinese characters)
The complex sequence of strokes.
