How do you learn spoken TAIWANESE MANDARIN?

THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS TAIWANESE HOKKEIN (a subreddit I already patronized) AND FROM MY UNDERSTANDING IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR MAINLAND CHINESE MANDARIN.

My friend wants to know how to learn how to speak TAIWANESE MANDARIN.

The best resource for spoken mainland mandarin, is of course michel thomas, but,

Guoyu is almost identical to the official language of mainland China, called Pǔtōnghuà, with the exception of their writing systems. However, Mandarin as spoken informally in Taiwan has some notable differences in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation with Standard Mandarin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwanese_Mandarin

So, would Michel Thomas even be suitable, since they don't have a specifically Taiwanese option.

I think most Chinese learning, including the sticky is just MAINLAND mandarin, not TAIWANESE mandarin.
