Deciphering this weird pronunciation(according to my ears)

I usually find this guy from a TV show called Night and Day to be pretty hard to understand already, but the way he says 报警中心 is driving me crazy.

I sent this audio clip to a couple of native Chinese speakers and they understood him perfectly, but every time I hear him say 报警中心 it kind of sounds like baoyingmingxin to me...

The native speakers I've asked have no idea why I might hear it like this or what he's exactly doing that makes it sound different. One person just told me that his pronunciation isn't standard but they don't really know how to explain what's different about it.

Would anyone here be able to explain what's going on here? I've listened to it over and over again and I still don't know why when he says 中心 it sounds like mingxin to me...like, I feel like I'm deaf at this point, haha
