Is it ok if I can read the characters I'm learning but cannot write them properly?

I'm about to start my HSK 3 classes tomorrow, and I'm a little bit worried about my knowledge at writing characters. Of all the words I've learned (about 300), I can identify and read mostly all of them, but I can only write a half. The other half I'm either missing some strokes or I just can't start.

Should I spend more time on learning how to write all of them or is it ok?
