fun ways to learn? (~intermediate level/higher)

So I've actually grown up speaking basic Mandarin with my family, but because I was born in North America and never properly learned, I'm only conversational (reading and writing I just can't :( )

Recently I've really wanted to become more fluent in my speech and comprehension (especially picking up slang!). I tried language apps but most of it is too basic. I'm starting university and I plan on focusing a lot on school, so I would prefer to find ways to learn Chinese that I could do in my spare time that won't feel like even more studying. Anyone have ideas? Thank you!
