Somewhat of a newbie -Help appreciated

Hi there

I am trying to talk about renting a place but I am having some difficulties grasping grammar I think... I note that there are numerous ways to use help and I am unsure whether I have grasped this either. I also wanted to use
乔迁 but all the text books I have use 聚会.

Any help would be awesome:

去年我和家人住在一条繁忙 街道的公寓里.我们的公寓很小. 今年我们找了一所房子.

因为我们有一条小狗所以需要房东允许养宠物.

我的朋友在租房公司工作. 我给我的朋友打电话了, 让她来 帮助我. 我说: 我要租房子. 她 帮助 我. 房子有厨房，一共三室两厅两卫，还有一个后院. 房租每个月一千块钱，不含 水电费 星期五下午5点我们有一个聚会.
