Hey guys
So I've been studying Chinese on and off for about 2 years now and recently got to the point where I can read 'Mandarin Companion' books level 1. I have gotten to the point now where my reading is my strongest ability in Chinese, but my writing is so far behind, for example, I could read the majority of Mandarin Companion books and pronounce the words out loud, but I would not be able to write them.
I was wondering if anyone is at a similar level to me and has any advice because I'm frankly just feeling a huge lack of motivation and just a bit lost as how to improve my Chinese now (i.e. do I practice writing what I already know? do I just carry on the way I am doing it and stop practising writing all together?) I don't have any friends that learn Chinese. One thing to mention is that I can use the PinYin on keyboards/phones/WeChat and can recognise a lot of characters but again, given a pen, would not be able to write.
Thanks in advance ^_^
