Is "Zhang" ever used as a personal name? Would be grateful for any help!

I am trying to figure out if it's ever appropriate to use Zhang as a given/personal name and would be grateful for any insight!

For example, would the name Wong Zhang make sense (with Wong as the family name and Zhang as the personal name)?

Or would it someone happen to have a name such as Wong Zhang Jie -- and if so, what would they prefer their American friends to call them?

Final question--if Zhang was the surname, like in Zhang Jianwei, would someone ever want to be called Zhang by their American friends or would they prefer Jianwei, in that case?

Thank you!
