HAKKA IS KILLING ME!

This year I discovered that the language my family has been speaking in this household is called Hakkawa (or they call it "ngai")

And it's so confusing because at one point. My family speaks in Hakka, then they switch to Cantonese (Guangxi dialect) and then they switch back to Hakka. I can tell because one point they say "ngo" then later they say "ngai" !??

My primary focus is to learn pǔtōnghuà because every Chinese at my school speaks pǔtōnghuà. And I sometime hesitate to speak it because I'm worried that I might speak the other 2 dialect.

At point I called orange fruit "caang guo". Nobody get what I said and they corrected me that it's "cheng zi". That was embarrassing because in all my life, I've always thought it was called that because everyone in my family (including elders and relatives) called it that.....

So yeah.....Today my pǔtōnghuà is pretty descent. I would say my skills is at a level of a 5 year old thanks to Peppa Pig Mandarin Dub 👍

Any tips to improve guys? Feedback is highly appreciated!
