Does this make grammatical sense?

Hi! I'm supposed to give some remarks in a short while and was wondering if someone could let me know if this below is grammatically correct/makes sense? Much appreciated!

各位大家，晚上好。代表我们奖学金获得者，我想感谢 [organization name] 多年支持我们的教育。有一个非洲来的说话：培养一个孩子需要一个村庄。同样，我认为培养学生需要一个村庄，我们中山村庄，唐人街的村庄。
