I'm just starting some basic Chinese learning, and for the basic "My name is..." lessons, it would be good to have a Chinese name to use.
My surname has a meaning that is the same as a common Chinese surname, so I assume I can just use that? (for argument's sake, let's say my English surname is King and I want to use 王).
My first name is Jennifer, but I go by Jen often, so I assume I can use something along the lines of Zhen, but I don't know which characters are appropriate as a name for a person.
I don't know any Chinese people to ask, so I was just wondering what is the best way of getting an idea for this?
