Hi, I would really like help in learning Mandarin as it is quite complicated but also make a friend as well if possible to casually speak about interesting topics (which I do enjoy speaking about Chinese culture and the language.) Hope that it is not too much to ask. I'm having difficulty right now with placing "the" in front of words and memorizing the different alterations to words, I wish the rules of Mandarin allowed more leniency.
