Pronounce and use of 行?

So i see a lot of chinese word have this character. But it has 2 pronunciation first is xíng, second is háng. I just wondering when you will pronounce it xíng or háng? Are there any special rules for it? Or we always need to remember how to pronounce this in every word? 😵
