Where to stay for a good standard Mandarin immersion environment?

I live in Chengdu. My Sichuan friends are lovely but they slip into their 方言 all too often. I don’t blame them. I do the same thing when I’m back home. What’s a good city in mainland China to go to where not many people can speak English but they speak relatively standard 普通话? Small cities and towns are fine with me.
