Chinese new year greetings for young people?

Hello, ABC here. Relatively fluent in Chinese, but I struggle with things like Chinese New Year's greetings. Usually it's not a problem for me, because mostly it's just to elders, but for the first time this year I actually have Chinese friends my age, and I was wondering what you'd say to a teenager as a teenager.

Like, would 學業進步 and stuff like that sound too...I don't know, elderly-ish, like you're talking someone down? I'm so confused.
